What is InstaBand Night all about?

InstaBand is a musician's challenge. Form a band. Write a song. Perform it. You've got 5 minutes.

The next Instaband in Sebastopol will be on December 22 from 5 to 9PM. Sign up below and the location will be emailed to you after signing up.

During the event, we will pick 4 or 5 musicians (or more) to form the band. They then go into the "green room" where they have 5 minutes to write a song and come up with a new band name.

Once the prep time is up, they come out to the main room and play it for everyone.

While they are playing, someone from the audience will draw the album cover art for the band.

Who can play?

Anyone who feels like they can play an instrument well enough and be able to write songs on the spot.

Who can listen?:

Everyone who is not playing! Foam earplugs will be provided, but bring some if you have them!

When?

Sunday, December 22, 2024. 5PM - 9PM. Gate opens at 4, event starts at 5.

How much does it cost?

It's a sliding scale, but $10 per person is recommended. More is always appreciated! We also have snacks and non alcoholic beverages for sale.

BYOB if you want alcohol, we will have a cooler for you.

Do I need to bring my instrument or amp?

Yes, absolutely bring your instrument if it's portable. We will have a drumkit and keyboard, but bring your amps, mics, and cables if you have them.

Why are we doing this?

The goal at Rancho del Freako is to build community through music.
